RE: potential dates for upcoming ERT WG face-to-face: 22-23 February 2007

FYI: Some flights related information

The closer airport is the Asturias Airport (IATA code: OVD), placed at 15 Km. from Avilés, 38 Km. from Gijón (more information about Asturias Airport at [1])

See below a list of airports located around Asturias with an approximate distance between each airport and Gijón:
  
West

	* Santiago de Compostela (SCQ) - 325 Km.
  
East

	* Santander (SDR) - 180 Km.
	* Bilbao (BIO) - 275 Km.
	* Barcelona (BCN) - 880 Km.
  
South

 	* León (LEN) - 155 Km.
      * Valladolid (VLL) - 325 Km.
      * Madrid (MAD) - 480 Km.

The most reasonable option may be any conexion through Madrid or Barcelona (about 12 daily flights between Madrid and Asturias and about 6 daily flights between Barcelona and Asturias, mainly from Iberia-One World and Spanair-Star Alliance. Please note that this frequencies are significantly lower at weekends)

Nevertheless people from UK could also consider EasyJet direct flights from Stansted (STN) to Asturias (OVD), Air Berlin conexions through Palma de Mallorca (PMI) could also be a sensible option for people from Germany.
