Hi all, Ref: <http://www.w3.org/2007/08/14-tsdtf-minutes#item01> The minutes mention a status flag for deprecated tests which I think may be tricky. At this stage of WCAG 2.0 development, the tests could become deprecated at any review stage. It's a kind of "catch all" exception and would make the process description even more complicated than it already is. Also, when WCAG 2.0 becomes more stable then this exception would become obsolete too and the description would become overly complex. My suggestion would be to add this flag only to the "Summary of Status Labels" section of the review process document: - <http://www.w3.org/WAI/ER/tests/process#labels> The wording could be as follows: * deprecated - test sample has become obsolete (for example due to changes in the WCAG 2.0 documents or other reasons) Regards, Shadi -- Shadi Abou-Zahra Web Accessibility Specialist for Europe | Chair & Staff Contact for the Evaluation and Repair Tools WG | World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) http://www.w3.org/ | Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI), http://www.w3.org/WAI/ | WAI-TIES Project, http://www.w3.org/WAI/TIES/ | Evaluation and Repair Tools WG, http://www.w3.org/WAI/ER/ | 2004, Route des Lucioles - 06560, Sophia-Antipolis - France | Voice: +33(0)4 92 38 50 64 Fax: +33(0)4 92 38 78 22 |
