Dear all, There are many CVS and SSH clients, the following are resources that help you download, install, and set up WinCVS and PuTTY on a Windows operating system: WinCVS client: - <http://www.wincvs.org/> PuTTY client: - <http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/> Using PuTTY with WinCVS: - <http://www.wincvs.org/ssh.html> Overview of steps to take: 1. Install WinCVS 2. Install PuTTY package (includes PuTTYgen and Plink) 3. Make sure that Plink.exe is in your system path 4. Use PuTTYgen to generate an SSH v2 public/private key pair 5. Send me the *public* key only 6. Configure a PuTTY session to use your private key when accessing cvs.w3.org (see PuTTY documentation on this) 7. Configure WinCVS to use that PuTTY session (see the WinCVS documentation on using PuTTY with WinCVS) Regards, Shadi -- Shadi Abou-Zahra Web Accessibility Specialist for Europe | Chair & Staff Contact for the Evaluation and Repair Tools WG | World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) http://www.w3.org/ | Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI), http://www.w3.org/WAI/ | WAI-TIES Project, http://www.w3.org/WAI/TIES/ | Evaluation and Repair Tools WG, http://www.w3.org/WAI/ER/ | 2004, Route des Lucioles - 06560, Sophia-Antipolis - France | Voice: +33(0)4 92 38 50 64 Fax: +33(0)4 92 38 78 22 |
