Hi Carlos, Carlos A Velasco wrote: > The software must support the assignment of validators, the highlighting > of issues and validation errors, communication with the author, etc. What type of validation and how much automation are you thinking of? Here is what I am thinking of with respect to the review process [1]: Step 1: - upon submission of a new test sample, a bugzilla entry is created (either manually or automatically if someone writes a script). Step 2: - TF participant uses external tools & validators to carry out structure review, then changes the status of the test sample into bugzilla. Step 3: - same process as in step 2 but the review comment will be recorded in a different field in the bugzilla entry. Step 4: - TF facilitators create an online strawpoll (using WBS), and again manually change the bugzilla entry status. Step 5: - TF participant records the outcome of the strawpoll and TF resolution in yet another filed and changes the status accordingly. So in other words bugzilla is to be the main tool for tracking the progress on test samples development. Additional tools (such as validators, WBS, etc) will be used but are not automated or integrated. Is this inline with your thoughts? [1] <http://www.w3.org/WAI/ER/2006/tests/process> As to your original question, I do not recommend we try to install and maintain JIRA. I favor bugzilla with as little customization as possible (we can always extend the functionality at later stages).
