<dc:description rdf:parseType="Literal" xml:lang="en">Easy508 take a PDF documents that a user uploads and automates the tagging of the document to make it more compliant with Section 508 guidelines. This process, that can take hours for a person to do manually for a large document, can be done almost instantaneously by Easy508 without changing the appearance of the document, and without the user having any knowledge of Section 508 guidelines. This presents a savings in time and cost for any organization that needs to make its documents Section 508 compliant.
Easy508 is currently in a limited Beta release available to all customers. In this release we have focused primarily on the most tedious Section 508 issues, which are tagging of tables and images. Easy508 has the following functionality for partially tagged PDF documents:
• analysis of the number of pages, number of images, and number of tables
• checking and prompting for file name
• checking and prompting for required document properties
• analysis of fonts to check for recommended fonts
• checking and prompting for adding textual descriptions for images
• analysis and automated tagging of common tables
• secure storage of documents online for up to 90 days</dc:description>
