> "Note that WCAG 2.0 is still a draft and the WCAG 2.0 Guidelines and > success criteria in no way supersede the checkpoints in WCAG 1.0." It's important that we clarify that WCAG is *not* done yet. And WCAG 1.0 is still it. > confuses me because I think we expect the 2.0 "success criteria" WILL > supersede the 1.0 "checkpoints". Some people may choose to stick with WCAG 1.0, and not move to WCAG 2.0. :( They are two different specs. > I am going to write from the frame of mind that 2.0 IS a Rec when the > transition doc is being used. Based on TF feedback, it's important to release this soon, and not wait until 2.0 is Rec. So we need to write it for today. In the requirements/changelog doc, you can make notes on how we might want to edit the doc after WCAG 2.0 is req. --- Also note "abstract" level text on transitioning at: http://www.w3.org/WAI/intro/wcag20-new.php#trans Best, ~ Shawn
