ML background design 1 - comments

Hello, all -

I feel Michael's design is a nice step in the right direction: cleaner design, nice background that frames the content, more photographic depth, not just flat text.

I don't care for the rounded corners. They're weak as structure elements and remind me of badly designed forms or early desktop-published documents. I do like curves if integrated into a design, but not as "boxes." 

I also fee there's too many design "pieces" on the page.

I'm in the home stretch of revising the WF web accessibility guidelines. When done (hopefully by this Friday), I can flush out some WAI site design ideas.
