WSTF - home page thoughts

Even with these adjustments if we are going to have a "Getting Started"
section it needs to be a prominent link on the site.  On Blossom's it is at
the top of the list which is good, but it gets lost visually with the other
G's.  On Shawn's version it is separated, but as soon as the navigation
"explodes" it will visually be "below the fold" (on my screen it already is,
so I'm sure for larger-font viewers it's long gone).

How about adding an image to the upper right (would work with either design)
that is left aligned visually and that says "Get Started" or something
similar?   See attached image sample.  It would link to the same place as
the other link and we would be less likely to loose people right off the
bat.  I'm still worried about the newbie's coming to the site and being
overwhelmed by information.
