One possible visual confusion with buttons is that focus remains on the last used one (e.g., Expand all rows) after it's been clicked. So yes, links would be better (above and below). I really like the icon for techniques and the bulleted failure/tech lists minus the border. Clean! Please don't forget "PercEIvable" :-) Cheers, Tom On Thu, 24 Sep 2009 08:44:15 +0200 Michael Stenitzer <stenitzer@wienfluss.net> wrote: > hi, > > Shadi Abou-Zahra wrote: >> >> First, the table does not validate (I think pretty >>simple stuff): >> - >> <http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Ffiers.name%2Fbadtf%2Freport%2Freport.htm&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0> >> >> >> >> Also, I'm wondering if it is better (both visually and >>functionally) to >> have the "Expand all" and "Collapse all" as links rather >>the buttons? >> Would it make more sense to have these below the table >>or floating on >> the right? > > my vote is for links. > place those above or both above and below.
