-------- Original Message -------- Subject: Betr.: accessibility/usability issues with lightboxes? Date: Tue, 06 Oct 2009 15:51:32 +0200 From: Wilco Fiers <wfiers@bartimeus.nl> To: <public-wai-eo-badtf@w3.org>, <shadi@w3.org> CC: <andrew@w3.org> Hi Shadi, I believe that the lightbox I build for the annotations doesn't cause any problems for keyboard users. I've also tested it with a screen reader user, and it wasn't a problem. I didn't read anything on these sites I hadn't taken into account when building this. I think this shouldn't be a problem. Wilco >>> Shadi Abou-Zahra <shadi@w3.org> 05-10-09 15:08 >>> Dear group, Andrew made me aware of some current blogs and articles discussing the usability and accessibility of lightboxes. As far as I can tell, these issues are primarily related to keyboard accessibility of the jQuery implementation. I'm not sure how much this applies to our annotations. Does somebody volunteer to verify this?
