WAI Curricula Task Force meeting -- 1 September

Hello all,

Tuesday September 1 we are going to have another WAI Curricula Task Force teleconference.

We will be going through some specifics of new proposal for module 6 Custom Widgets and how to make it more practical. IF you have
some time, please have a look at it prior to the meeting:

Agenda:

agenda+ Usefulness of topic "Enhancing Semantics"

Do you think this topic is still useful under the proposed structure?

Do references to DOM, accessibility tree, and WAI-ARIA fit better in the context of this proposal?

agenda+ Appropriateness of suggested design patterns and widgets

I have added specific custom widgets for:

- Button.

- Listbox.

- Carousel.

- Modal dialog.

Do you agree with these choices?

If not, which others do you think we should be covering?

Do you think this is the correct order in which they should appear?

agenda+ Repetitiveness throughout the topics

In these newly added topics, we talk about:

- Labels and descriptions.

- Keyboard interaction.

- Focus management.

- Notifications and warnings.

Each of the suggested design patterns have specific considerations for each of the contents mentioned above. However, some may
argue that the new proposal feels a bit repetitive as these are discussed for every single custom example that we include.

Any ideas on how we can make this less repetitive?
