Re: BAD questions (was Re: WAI-AGE task force teleconf - 6 May)

Hi Anna,

Just very briefly: the purpose of the Demo is to serve as a resource for
constructing trainings. It is not intended to provide a training for a
specific audience in itself. There are different audiences who may want
to hear different messages, including developers, managers, educators,
advocates, or many more. Developing trainings for such audiences using
the Demo is a future step and not in the scope of the current work.

Regards,
   Shadi

Demos normally have a scope and deliver what they promise, i.e. clearly labeled audio file is only a part of the demo in different modality. The rest is really a project of its own and by the way worth considering. If you think of web developer who is new to accessibility the current BAD demo delivers the message but only half way thru, because a) "before" and "after" pages look the same and b) the demo still does not give web developer a clue of how people use the web. Adding screen reader output to both "before" and "after" pages adds the depth in perception of the problem area. E.g. if one hears some lengthy unintelligeable string that enhances the overall message.

If it is possible to put such resource page together that whould be a much more educating material that numerous web pages of a plain text.
