I support this proposal if the two following conditions are met:
1. the Reply-To field of announcements there is set to the
corresponding W3C mailing-list, as much as possible.
Example: Team announces a new CSS draft, the reply-to is then set
to www-style@w3.org
2. announcements there are Team's duty. The CSS WG editors for
instance already announce new documents in www-style, twitter and
blog and that's enough.
