If there is a discussion, have it where we all see it. These direct messages are candidacy statements and polite reminders to vote, if possible for the sender. They're not discussions. They are similar to the paper material politicians send me by post when there is a local election. I consider them as normal, even if they're a little bit annoying. Election implies representation and representation implies or should imply direct contact too. Hence my opinion above. </Daniel>
