Open Metaverse Interoperability

Hello,

My name is Robert Long, I represent the Open Metaverse Interoperability
Group. We just had our first meeting yesterday, with interest from a number
of companies in the 3D/AR/VR spaces. I'd like to know a little more about
this group. What are/were your goals? Also, is there any possibility that
any of your members would like to get involved with the Open Metaverse
Interoperability Group?

We are currently meeting in the AngellXR Discord
<https://discord.gg/JRC8CvBUwR>, but are working on a permanent home for
ourselves on Github and Matrix. I'm also looking to join an existing W3C
group or start our own community group. Our goals are to work on
standards/protocols enabling interoperability between new and existing
virtual worlds. These could include things like identity, a social graph,
object ownership, and more. Our members include people who are working in
or have worked in standards groups such as the Khronos 3D Formats Group,
W3C Immersive Web Working Group, and W3C Credentials Community Group.

We'd love to talk to anyone from your community who is interested. Feel
