<ddahl2> kaz: talking with Philippe about workshop

<ddahl2> ...still updating the MD to HTML cfp

<ddahl2> kaz: will bring to the strategy call next Tuesday

<ddahl2> ...will give us the draft cfp on Monday

<ddahl2> ...it will concentrate more on voice technology

<ddahl2> ...we should work with WICG and Exploration IG

<ddahl2> ...WICG works on web incubation in general

<ddahl2> ...kaz is starting to contact these groups

<ddahl2> ...this would help us get input from web users'
   viewpoint

<ddahl2> debbie: should we do that before approval?

<ddahl2> kaz: should just mention them in the cfp and get them
   in the PC

<ddahl2> kaz: priority is getting approval

<ddahl2> debbie: it will be virtual

<ddahl2> ...a few hours a day over a few days

<ddahl2> kaz: yesterday there was a workshop on authentic web

<ddahl2> debbie: announcement when PC is finalized, about 10
   people

<ddahl2> kaz: review position statements then schedule.

<ddahl2> ...about a month to collect position statements

<ddahl2> debbie: add the position statement process to cfp

<ddahl2> gerard: timing for workshop to accommodate time zones

<ddahl2> kaz: Smart Cities had one for US and one for
   Europe/Japan

<ddahl2> debbie: then the organizers will write a report

<ddahl2> kaz: position-setting session, use cases, issues with
   currrent situation.

<ddahl2> ...we can start to prepare basic template.

<ddahl2> ...based on interest we should have a panel

<ddahl2> debbie: could have an invited panel

<ddahl2> kaz: will contact some colleagues who attended
   multimodal meetings.

<ddahl2> kaz: still interested in handling speech timing and
   synchronizing resources from multiple speakers

<ddahl2> debbie: interested in agent interaction paradigms

<ddahl2> kaz: at last year's TPAC covered media coordination
over Web Socket and Web RTC

<ddahl2> ...talking about other protocols besides HTTP

<ddahl2> ...web browser companies interested in this

<ddahl2> debbie: we could have a session on media
   infrastructure

   <ddahl2> kaz: next generation EMMA

<ddahl2> debbie: how to support streaming in XML or JSON

<kaz> kaz: think we might be able to reuse C2PA, etc., for
   authentication to synchronizing multiple resources

<ddahl2> debbie: also we could have a session on other
   platforms like mobile and cars

<ddahl2> kaz: we could contact car vendors

<ddahl2> debbie: what is the next step?

<ddahl2> kaz: could generate another CG or IG, or simply
identify an existing group to extend their scope

<ddahl2> debbie: we could have a final session on possible next
   steps

<ddahl2> kaz: next TPAC is November 10-14 in Kobe.

<ddahl2> debbie: we should make sure our workshop is concluded
so that we have time to propose a breakout session at TPAC

<ddahl2> debbie: we should know by next time if we're approved

<ddahl2> gerard: regrets for next time
