*CALL FOR PAPERS*

Special Issue on *Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, and
Knowledge Graphs* in the *Semantic Web Journal.*
====================================================================

Dear colleagues,

We are excited to announce a *Call for Papers* for a special issue on *Large
Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, and Knowledge Graphs*. This issue
aims to explore the intersection of these rapidly evolving technologies and
their profound impact on the Semantic Web and Knowledge Engineering domains.

*Scope*
Building on the outcomes of recent key events, such as ESWC 2024 and ISWC
2024, this special issue provides an opportunity to expand on early
findings and introduce novel research in the following areas:

   - Seamless integration of KGs, LLMs, and AI components
   - Evaluation of benchmarks for LLMs/Generative AI in Knowledge
   Engineering
   - Knowledge Graph-based retrieval augmented generation (RAG)
   - Ontology engineering, completion, and refinement with LLMs
   - Human-in-the-loop and data quality for LLM/KG systems
   - Guardrailing and hallucination prevention for LLMs in KGs
   - ... and many more!

*Submission Guidelines*
We invite *full papers*, *dataset descriptions*, *benchmarks*, and
*frameworks* or *systems*. Submissions should be original and must not have
been published previously. Authors may also extend previously published
papers (detailed instructions available in FAQ 9
<http://www.semantic-web-journal.net/authors>). Submissions shall be made
through the Semantic Web journal website
<http://www.semantic-web-journal.net/>.

Submissions are welcomed from the following three strands:

   - *ESWC 2024*: Accepted papers from the Research Track using
LLMs/Generative AI or from the Special Track on LLMs for KE.
   - *ISWC 2024*: White papers from the Special Session on LLMs.
   - *Open Call*: New research submissions in these exciting areas.

Please indicate in your cover letter that the submission is for the *Special
Issue on Large Language Models, Generative AI, and Knowledge Graphs*.

   - *Submission Deadline*: March 31, 2025
*Submissions will be reviewed upon receipt.*

For any inquiries, please refer to the guidelines on the Semantic Web
Journal’s website or reach out to the special issue editors at
swj-llms-genai-kgs@googlegroups.com.

We look forward to receiving your contributions!
