I note that you make equivalencies between VRA classes and properties to schema.org classes and properties. To some extent that makes good sense, connecting up to a highly-used vocabulary. But at the same time, schema.org is known for being a bit quirky in its interpretation of RDF, which could have an effect on your semantics. I also don't know what the implications are when you make equivalencies between, for example, vra:Continent and schema:Continent since they are subclassed differently: schema:Continent owl:Thing > schema:Thing > schema:Place > schema:Landform > schema:Continent vra:Continent owl:Thing > vra:Place > vra:Continent It's quite possible that in the end these differences don't matter, but I'm curious as to your thinking about them. Also, it would be great to have human-readable definitions for the terms. For example, schema:landform is defined as "A landform or physical feature. Landform elements include mountains, plains, lakes, rivers, seascape and oceanic waterbody interface features such as bays, peninsulas, seas and so forth, including sub-aqueous terrain features such as submersed mountain ranges, volcanoes, and the great ocean basins." and schema:place is "Entities that have a somewhat fixed, physical extension." (Note that "somewhat" ;-)) Thanks, kc On 10/13/15 2:15 PM, Jeff Mixter wrote: > > VRA Core RDF Ontology Available for Review____ > > October 7, 2015 > <https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__vraweb.org_vra-2Dcore-2Drdf-2Dontology-2Davailable-2Dfor-2Dreview_&d=BQMFaQ&c=JL-fUnQvtjNLb7dA39cQUcqmjBVITE8MbOdX7Lx6ge8&r=fa9R0Li9Dg4jcJRFMbtqw7fgKP67tmzu4icBDL4K_N0&m=79ZhZQczvgC_-fopKkJzHmD3tYjsN2zGH76bTEwnX54&s=Udr9vKPqe48WaRjutDL1dFSqMKDbxZzvVdPhAkWleto&e=> > VRA Core > <https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__vraweb.org_author_vra-2Dcore_&d=BQMFaQ&c=JL-fUnQvtjNLb7dA39cQUcqmjBVITE8MbOdX7Lx6ge8&r=fa9R0Li9Dg4jcJRFMbtqw7fgKP67tmzu4icBDL4K_N0&m=79ZhZQczvgC_-fopKkJzHmD3tYjsN2zGH76bTEwnX54&s=yfIJaXCo8M8czit4gXyNJsDmBpZdptk8XCpx52mVU5Y&e=>____ > > A taskforce setup through the VRA Core Oversight Committee (Core OC) > <https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__vraweb.org_about_committees_vra-2Dcore-2Doversight_&d=BQMFaQ&c=JL-fUnQvtjNLb7dA39cQUcqmjBVITE8MbOdX7Lx6ge8&r=fa9R0Li9Dg4jcJRFMbtqw7fgKP67tmzu4icBDL4K_N0&m=79ZhZQczvgC_-fopKkJzHmD3tYjsN2zGH76bTEwnX54&s=5AwUn8N8PjVio2TH6nTO_MqWWkor2_BD1ETgrdcPD6Y&e=> has > released an initial draft of a VRA Core RDF Ontology.
