I would say if it is not in the core why should I bother marking up my site, how do I choose extensions, how can I know extensions are not ignored. I can understand why someone wanted to fork schema.org so they could move things along faster. if is is not in core then >1. There must be at least a 1000 sites that will use it. Preferably 10,000+ those sites outside that set will not start to use mark up at all (like my site) Are the search engines expecting smaller sites to write extensions so they can learn from the data. The longer we running the sites are kept in the dark the longer this will take to implement and get popular. Dave Caroline
