I am completing my dissertation, which focuses on issues related to the Semantic Web and Linked Data. The aim of the thesis is to create a mashup application that allows access to content that describe the events (of all kinds such as fairs, exhibitions, concerts, shows and so on) of a particular region of the Italian territory.
I wanted to ask if there are ontologies that allow the complete description of the scenario (ontologies describing events related to ontologies that describe places, people, time, etc.) and any application examples already implemented (related, if possible, with data silos used).
Thank you for your availability and I apologize for my low level of English..
