Dear Advisory Committee representative,
[This announcement will be forwarded to W3C group chairs]

The Verifiable Credentials Working Group charter [1] is hereby extended
until 15 January 2025.

All Recommendation-track technical specifications, that the Working
Group is chartered for [1], are now in CR phase, with a number of
implementations already in place. This extension gives the time for the
group to complete the exit criteria for all these documents and publish
the respective formal Recommendations.

More information about the Verifiable Credentials (VC) Working Group can
be found on its summary page [2], including information about group
Chair, Team Contact and instructions for joining the group.

If you have any questions or need further information, please contact
Ivan Herman, VC WG Team Contact, at ivan@w3.org.

This extension follows section 4.5 of the W3C Process Document:
https://www.w3.org/2023/Process-20231103/#charter-extension

Thank you,

For Philippe le Hégaret, W3C Strategy and Project Lead,
Ivan Herman, VC WG Team Contact;
Xueyuan Jia, W3C Marketing & Communications
