Dear Advisory Committee Representative,
[This announcement will be forwarded to W3C group chairs]

This is a Call for Review of a proposed new charter for the Verifiable
Credentials Working Group:
https://www.w3.org/2022/05/proposed-vc-wg-charter.html

Please review the charter and indicate your support using this online form:
https://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/33280/vc-wg-2022/

The deadline for responses is 03:59 UTC on 2022-06-04 (23:59, Boston
time on 2022-06-03)[0].

Under the proposed charter the Working Group will concentrate on a new
version of the Verifiable Credentials Data Model, originally published
in 2019, with some minor updates in 2021 and 2022. The proposed team
resource is 0.15 FTE.

Section 10.1 [1] in the proposed charter provides an overview of the
history of the Working Group, and pointers to earlier charters. To see
all changes relative to the current charter, follow this link [2].

Current participants will not need to re-join the group if the new
charter is approved.

The group is currently chaired by Brent Zundel (Evernym) and Wayne Chang
(Spruce Systems). Accepting the new charter includes the nomination of
Kristina Yasuda (Microsoft) to replace Wayne Chang (Spruce Systems).

In anticipation to this review, the current charter [3] of the Working
Group is extended until the 31 July 2022.

More information about the group can be found on its homepage [4].

If you have any questions or need further information, please contact
Ivan Herman, Verifiable Credentials WG Team Contact, at ivan@w3.org.

This charter review and extension follow sections 3.4 and 4.5 of the W3C
Process Document:
