Hey all, During the F2F meeting, we had the perennial discussion about JSON-LD and Linked Data challenges... specifically, developer push back. The group acknowledged the issue and we're now attempting to address it via PRs to the spec: https://github.com/w3c/vc-data-model/pull/159 Here's another example of how this conversation progresses: http://manu.sporny.org/2014/json-ld-origins-2/#comment-58100 Note that the developer hated RDF, is self-taught, and deployed JSON-LD w/o knowing any of the underpinnings. I think that's what success looks like and admit that we have a way to go before we're to that level w/ VCs. ... and the original blog posting about the reasons we created JSON-LD: http://manu.sporny.org/2014/json-ld-origins-2/ Just a data point for those of you that are struggling w/ convincing other developers to use JSON-LD. -- manu -- Manu Sporny (skype: msporny, twitter: manusporny, G+: +Manu Sporny) Founder/CEO - Digital Bazaar, Inc. blog: The State of W3C Web Payments in 2017 http://manu.sporny.org/2017/w3c-web-payments/
