RE: 2. What is the best reference for the differences (goals/purpose/drivers) between: (a) DIDs (and DID Entities/Documents), and (b) Verifiable Credentials? Reading https://w3c.github.io/vc-data-model/, is it correct that a DID (the string identifier) can be used anywhere that an "id" attribute appears in a VC? For example, * The id of the VC itself: https://w3c.github.io/vc-data-model/ * The id of the verifiableCredential (most common use case in the VC data model document) * Other role-based id's: owner, parent, child, holder, etc. * The id of a claim * ... Please confirm: 1. Is the above correct? 2. Is this the extent of the integration between DIDs and VCs?
