Re: text media is omitted from this W3C work

Thanks for the heads-up Mike. Have you raised this as an issue on the media-capabilities repo itself?

I seem to recall (a long time ago now) raising this and being told it was out of scope for some reason, at that time, but my memory of this is sketchy. I agree that it could be useful for a client to be able to indicate its timed text rendering capabilities if that might affect the data sent to it by the server.
