Re: TTML2 #945

Hi,

I'm not going to agree to a blanket rule, since the judgement of "is it fatal" is dependent on both the issue and the beholder, but if you want to go ahead and defer ttml2#945 (which you opened Pierre) then please go ahead.

This is a good moment to remind everyone here that we only have a few hours for any objections to publishing TTML2 CR3, as the CfC<https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-tt/2018Jul/0173.html> expires at around 1800 UTC today.

We currently have two substantive unresolved issues, #945 and #950. We discussed #950 on the call last week and agreed to defer if not resolved by the end of the CfC – since no proposal has even been made yet, I'd be very surprised if we could reach agreement in the next 8 hours or so, in which case, it will be deferred. There are no open pull requests at the moment on TTML2; the ED<https://w3c.github.io/ttml2/index.html> represents the version that we will request to transition to CR3 at the close of the CfC.

Kind regards,

Nigel

Hi all,

In the spirit of proceeding along the consensus timeline [1], I like the idea of deferring all but fatal issues against TTML2, TTML1 3ED and IMSC 1.1.

This applies to issue #945 IMHO.
