Basically the email says ARIB Data Coding Working Group wishes to thank the W3C Timed Text.
ARIB-TTML which is intended to be deployed for UHDTV broadcasting from 2018 has many additional features to TTML-1 such as downloadable fonts, ruby text annotations, text
emphasis, letter spacing management, shadows, animation.
ARIB has not found misaligned functions between TTML2 and ARIB-TTML. They are
also are very interested in High Dynamic Range compositing in either
Perceptual Quantizer and Hybrid Log-Gamma.

In addition, an interoperability between DVB and ISDB based systems
is interest of ARIB. ARIB wishes to keep communicating and
collaborating with TTML WG
