Cyril- Re 'stpp', yes everything you say is correct. However, because this table did not exist until now, 'stpp' is in use today. I suppose we could make it illegal, but I'm not sure that's the right answer either. Can we clarify that it is deprecated or something? I think having the 'stpp' row is wrong and misleading: - 2nd column: The "|(any TTML profile used for media type, application/mp4)" part is very unclear. -4th column: "||ISO/IEC 14496-12 ISO BMFF|" is not a specification that "defines the identified processor profile." - 1st column: 'stpp' is a 4CC defined in the ISOBMFF used to indicate that a track contains XML Subtitles in general. 'stpp' is not a processor profile identifier and is not restricted to TTML. If MPEG uses this registry (I think it will), the codecs parameters for an MP4 file with TTML track will probably look like: video/mp4; codecs="stpp.ttml" (when you don't know which profile of ttml is used), or video/mp4; codecs="stpp.ttml.tt1f" or video/mp4; codecs="stpp.ttml.im1t" but not: video/mp4; codecs="stpp.ttml.stpp" ... Please delete the 'stpp' row. Cyril > Regards, > > Mike > > ------------------------- > > Michael A DOLAN > > TBT, Inc.
