AOB? group: no OB Action Items action-410? <trackbot> action-410 -- Nigel Megitt to Raise issue regarding actor and agent references -- due 2015-08-06 -- PENDINGREVIEW <trackbot> [10]http://www.w3.org/AudioVideo/TT/tracker/actions/410 [10] http://www.w3.org/AudioVideo/TT/tracker/actions/410 nigel: I added issue-401 issue-401? <trackbot> issue-401 -- Agent and actor circular references -- raised <trackbot> [11]http://www.w3.org/AudioVideo/TT/tracker/issues/401 [11] http://www.w3.org/AudioVideo/TT/tracker/issues/401 nigel: I couldn't think of any semantic requiring the circular reference, so Glenn's proposal to prohibit the circular reference sounds reasonable to me. close action-410 <trackbot> Closed action-410. reopen issue-401 <trackbot> Re-opened issue-401. action-411? <trackbot> action-411 -- Frans de Jong to Raise an issue requesting that imsc 1 tests for multirowalign and linepadding be made fully ebu-tt-d compatible. -- due 2015-08-06 -- PENDINGREVIEW <trackbot> [12]http://www.w3.org/AudioVideo/TT/tracker/actions/411 [12] http://www.w3.org/AudioVideo/TT/tracker/actions/411 frans: I did that, added issue-400 close action-411 <trackbot> Closed action-411. nigel: Thank you! issue-400? <trackbot> issue-400 -- Make multiRowAlign and linePadding testfile EBU-TT-D compatible -- pending review <trackbot> [13]http://www.w3.org/AudioVideo/TT/tracker/issues/400 [13] http://www.w3.org/AudioVideo/TT/tracker/issues/400 nigel: I resolved that issue already - it's pending review. ... We have the right people here to do that review. Frans, Pierre? frans: Nigel, you spotted the error and fixed it already, so I think it's fine. pal: All good. close issue-400 <trackbot> Closed issue-400. action-406? <trackbot> action-406 -- Andreas Tai to Follow on creating a strawman re: html cue extension specification -- due 2015-07-16 -- OPEN <trackbot> [14]http://www.w3.org/AudioVideo/TT/tracker/actions/406 [14] http://www.w3.org/AudioVideo/TT/tracker/actions/406 nigel: Andreas updated me offline that there's no update on this so far. action-409? <trackbot> action-409 -- Nigel Megitt to Discuss liaison with unicode with richard ishida -- due 2015-07-09 -- OPEN <trackbot> [15]http://www.w3.org/AudioVideo/TT/tracker/actions/409 [15] http://www.w3.org/AudioVideo/TT/tracker/actions/409 nigel: There's been some activity on this. I did send the new wording to Richard Ishida ... on Tuesday but he hasn't responded so far. tmichel: I can ping Richard - it's possible he's on vacation, but I can try. If we don't have a response ... in a few days I think we can move on. nigel: I wonder also if we could prompt Addison Phillips since Richard CCed him. I'm not sure what his role is. tmichel: I'll check if they're on leave or if I can prompt them and let you know after the call. nigel: Thanks. Issues issue-397? <trackbot> issue-397 -- Sync recommended codepoints with CFF-TT -- pending review <trackbot> [16]http://www.w3.org/AudioVideo/TT/tracker/issues/397 [16] http://www.w3.org/AudioVideo/TT/tracker/issues/397 pal: This is something that's been on the to do list for a while. We were waiting for the Unicode ... message to be ready before syncing with CFF-TT. There haven't been many changes. Some ... of the Cyrillic scripts have had some code points added. The proposed liaison to Unicode ... also contains the changed sets, so they should be identical between CFF-TT, IMSC1 ED and the Unicode liaison message. <inserted> nigel: They *should* be identical? pal: Yes, ideally. nigel: And you've checked that? pal: Yes I did! I'm actually working towards automating it but I'm not quite there yet so I had ... to do a bit of manual work. close issue-397 <trackbot> Closed issue-397. TPAC 2015 nigel: Any more thoughts on the agenda? pal: I really hope we'll be done on IMSC 1 by then. I have a couple of people working on ... providing results to W3C, so I'm cautiously optimistic that by late October we can move ... to PR. So then I think the topic might be what to do with IMSC 2 and I suspect that will be ... a relevant topic at TPAC, so maybe we can add that to the agenda? nigel: Sure, sounds like a good idea. pal: In particular, one of the challenges that's been brought to my attention is that some of ... the IMSC features don't have an exact (syntactic) equivalent in TTML2 so that means that ... an IMSC 2 implementation also has to include an IMSC 1 implementation to parse some of ... those features. So that's a topic I suggest we should discuss face to face. nigel: Yes, makes sense. pal: I understand there are pluses and minuses and a lot of history. Purely from a user standpoint ... without knowing the history it might cause a lot of surprise to see that an IMSC 2 document ... uses different structures to achieve the same as IMSC 1. Assuming that we're ready to move ... to IMSC 2 that would be a good time to have that discussion. nigel: You also need to understand if an IMSC 2 processor can process an IMSC 1 document. pal: Yes. In other words the current direction we're taking is one where an IMSC 1 document ... is not an IMSC 2 document (and cannot be). This is based on the discussions so far. nigel: Unless only the common set of features is used. pal: Yes of course, yes. I think this is worth discussion. In my mind this is intended to be used ... so either we need a really good story or reason or change plan or... ... We might even have incoming liaisons on this because there are people interested in Ruby ... for example who are looking forward to IMSC 2. It's a topic I think. nigel: Agreed. <scribe> ACTION: nigel Add draft topics for TPAC to wiki page as discussed today and last week [recorded in [17]http://www.w3.org/2015/08/06-tt-minutes.html#action01] <trackbot> Created ACTION-412 - Add draft topics for tpac to wiki page as discussed today and last week [on Nigel Megitt - due 2015-08-13].
