ISSUE-236 (Character spacing): Character spacing, i.e. letter-spacing [TTML.next] http://www.w3.org/AudioVideo/TT/tracker/issues/236 Raised by: Pierre-Anthony Lemieux On product: TTML.next [The following is extracted from the liaison received from SMPTE at https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Member/w3c-archive/2012Sep/0214.html] See Section 6.4.11 at ST 428-7. It shall be possible to introduce a constant amount of additional spacing between characters within a <span> element. The spacing shall be expressed as a decimal number in units of em and shall be no less than -1 em. Note: this can be used to lengthen or shorten the extent of the <span> element slightly.
