Michael, On Issue-189 and Action-110, suggest we add: - Add additional note to Example 5. - The author is responsible to set the timing such that the content flows into and out of the region to simulate these capabilities. - Add displayAlign feature as optional. - Discuss what else is need in the example. Your updated example in TTML 1.0 Second Edition can lend more clarity on how to handle scrolling. Let's discuss Thursday. I think the problem is that it is both paint-on and rollup; which is how live captions are typically presented. We can separate these two aspects and use more appropriate words. From: Michael Dolan [mailto:mdolan@newtbt.com] Sent: 17 October 2012 23:07 To: public-tt@w3.org Subject: RE: Proposal for Action-110 related to Issue-189 The problem remains that this is not a rollup example. The only way to keep this example is to rename it painton and change any reference to it being a rollup. And, no it cannot in fact "go.on.all.day", so I would remove that text as it is misleading. See my example posted to the list for the 2nd edition if you want a basis for a rollup example, which I would suggest be made into a new example.
