Hi all, Today, during the last TREE CG meeting of 2024, we* discussed 2 issues and made some great progress: 1. Making progress on the test suite (by Xueying Deng) Issue link (the comments contain the report): https://github.com/TREEcg/specification/issues/97 Presentation given: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1ajExTSObJKSFzeHasnlFTiDDFnB_o2Ain1bSwBtEQA0/edit#slide=id.p1 Decision: We will start working on a PR with a test suite report. 2. Adding a TREE profile to the spec (by Ieben Smessaert) Issue link: https://github.com/TREEcg/specification/issues/118 Presentation given: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1lK0zybGpG_Y1NkqHuVRcCnxuvBXFTw28pgTfnQT17a8/edit#slide=id.p Tl;dr: we propose that TREE servers follow a TREE profile, promising an order in the triples that allows for omitting having to perform the full member extraction algorithm, as that is a bottleneck when processing pages. Decision based on the findings presented: we will add this in the spec and a PR can be opened. However: 1) only an efficiency gain and a promise by a server, not a semantic decision. 2) We should also allow hypermedia at the bottom of the page instead of only at the top. This can maybe be done through the tree:view triple. Kind regards, Pieter * Attendees: Sander Van Dooren, Xueying Deng, Julián Rojas, Arthur Vercruysse, Ieben Smessaert (invited PhD student from our team) and myself -- https://pietercolpaert.be +32486747122
