Timing alert -- DNT Agenda for Wednesday, June 25

Hello:

I am sending this additional email to highlight the timing for the call this Wednesday.

We usually go 90 minutes. That is my goal as chair tomorrow, but we have reserved an additional 30 minutes in case it is needed to walk through each of the change proposals.

Thank you,

Peter

Subject: DNT Agenda for Wednesday, June 25

---------------------------
Compliance Spec

Chair: Peter Swire
---------------------------

1. Confirmation of scribe – glad to accept volunteer in advance.

2. Offline-caller-identification:
If you intend to join the phone call, you must either associate your phone number with your IRC username once you've joined the call (command: "Zakim, [ID] is [name]" e.g., "Zakim, ??P19 is schunter" in my case), or let Nick know your phone number ahead of time. If you are not comfortable with the Zakim IRC syntax for associating your phone number, please email your name and phone number to npdoty@w3.org<mailto:npdoty@w3.org>. We want to reduce (in fact, eliminate) the time spent on the call identifying phone numbers. Note that if your number is not identified and you do not respond to off-the-phone reminders via IRC, you will be dropped from the call.

3. Review of process concerning the June Draft work going forward.

4. Item-by-item discussion of Change Proposals, as listed at http://www.w3.org/wiki/Privacy/TPWG

For each change proposal, the principal author will beinvited to speak (briefly) to explain the reason for the proposal and what it says. The Group will then be invited to ask clarifying questions about the proposal. Participants can offer friendly amendments (conceptually or with language), which are in the spirit of perfecting the offered change proposal. Participants can also indicate if they are interested in offering alternative proposals, with the goal of alerting the group to the intention to offer alternatives, and to identify others interested in working on such alternative or counter-proposals.

This time is NOT intended to be used for debate on the merits of the change proposal. Instead, full opportunity to discuss the pros and cons of each proposal will occur in writing on the list, and in future calls as appropriate.

We will plan on working through all of the Change Proposals posted by the deadline of noon eastern on June 25. We will attempt to finish in the usual 90 minutes, but have reserved an additional 30 minutes if necessary.

5. Announce next steps, next meeting & adjourn
