In Jan - on average:

Madrid:  Avg max 52°F/11°C and Avg min 32°F/0°C
Barcelona:  Avg max 55°F/13°C and Avg min 39°F/4°C
Rome:  Avg max 55°F/13°C and Avg min 39°F/4°C
Athens:  Avg max 55°F/13°C and Avg min 44°F/7°C

Agree with going warmer if at all possible (can route through Brussels for other meetings if needed).  If we're following the weather, then it appears Barcelona, Rome or Athens are our best choices.  From an airfare perspective, Rome or Madrid will most likely be the least expensive.

Yahoo! has offices in Rome, Madrid, and Barcelona, so if we begin to lean in one of those directions I can reach out to see if they can accommodate a large group (~40).

We also have offices in Dubai if you want to go even warmer.  :)

I vote for some place warmer: Madrid?  Rome?  Athens?  I personally am not concerned with the junket aspect, but for those who are, there has to be some place warmer with lower junket potential :)

Reminder: if you have not yet, please indicate your availability with the link below. By Monday we will be focus in on dates, and work to find a good host.

Informally, I have heard requests for Paris as an interesting location, and against Paris as hard to justify when it looks like a junket. I have heard requests for Brussels as "no one goes there in January on purpose, I could get that funded," and against on similar grounds.

So with that mix of mutually-exclusive priorities in mind... How about Berlin?
