The mission of the Distributed Tracing Working Group is to define standards for interoperability between tracing tools. The proposed charter is a continuation of the current charter to allow the work on Trace Context and Baggage specifications. The proposed Team resource for the group is 0.05 FTE. The Advisory Committee Representatives of current participants will need to have their organizations re-join the group if the new charter is approved, as the new charter switches to Patent Policy 2020. A diff from the current charter is available [1]. The current charter [2] is extended until 31 May 2023 to accommodate the charter review period.
