Thanks for this information Dave. Has there been in more progress in the discussions on creating a W3C Community Group for the relicensed SysApps specifications?

Subject: Closing the System Applications Working Group

This is to let you know that the W3C Management Committee are expected to discuss formal closure of the System Applications Working Group at the next W3M call on Wednesday 5th August. The public Working Drafts for SysApps have been republished as WG Notes to clarify that these specifications have been abandoned.  An exception is the Runtime and Security model specification which still needs to be so republished.

App Lifecycle was only released as an editor’s draft and as such doesn’t merit a WG Note.

App Manifest was transferred to Web Apps WG and is an active work item in that group

Please let us know if you think we should republish App URI, Task Scheduler or the Runtime & Security model documents under the permissive license.
