RE: publish a new WD of "TCP and UDP Socket API"; deadline Oct 16th

Hi,

The PR https://github.com/sysapps/tcp-udp-sockets/pull/76 is now merged. This means that the UDP and TCPSocket interfaces are now aligned with the latest version on the Streams API specification.

What now remains is to rewrite the TCPServerSocket interface to be consistent with the style of the UDP and TCPSocket interfaces. I have created an issue stating he changes I propose to do: https://github.com/sysapps/tcp-udp-sockets/issues/77

It would be an advantage to have the TCPServerSocket interface rewritten before publishing a new WD so I have two questions:

¡¤ Are my proposed changes ok?

¡¤ Which is the deadline for having these changes merged at the Github repo in order to have a new public WD? 16th Oct?

I am happy for your prompt reply.

Subject: CfC: publish a new WD of "TCP and UDP Socket API"; deadline Oct 16th

Forks,

This is a Call for Consensus (CfC) to publish a new Public Working Draft (WD) of the TCP and UDP Socket API spec using the following ED as the basis <http://www.w3.org/2012/sysapps/tcp-udp-sockets/>.

This CfC satisfies the group's requirement to "record the group's decision to request advancement".

By publishing this WD, the group sends a signal to the community to begin reviewing the document. The WD reflects where the group is on this spec at the time of publication; it does not necessarily mean there is consensus on the spec's contents.

If you have any comments or concerns about this CfC, please send them to public-sysapps@w3.org<mailto:public-sysapps@w3.org> by Oct 16 at the latest. Positive response is preferred and encouraged and silence will be considered as agreement with the proposal.

For the chairs,

Wonsuk.
