http://developer.android.com/about/versions/android-4.3.html Android 4.3 now supports HW-protected and App-specific keys. Why would anybody turn to 7816 APDUs when you can work on a higher level? Are these not comparable? Not really, but the problem for the 7816-camp is the lack of availability and the distance to the application level. The outlook for a W3C SE API looks pretty grim but don't say I didn't warn you :-) Anders
