Re: is OWL-s & DAML-S is the same thing?

Dear Eman,

Once upon a time there was a language called DAML+OIL which was a  
precursor of OWL.  The first versions of OWL-S were based on DAML+OIL  
and they were named DAML-S. Starting from version 1.0 DAML-S was  
renamed OWL-S to acknowledge the fact that it was based on OWL  
instead of DAML.
For details on the changes that occurred in the language, please  
check the DAML-S website,  but the bottom line it that OWL-S is an  
evolution of DAML-S.
