Apologies for cross postings. Applications for Toshiba Fellowship Programme 2006 have now opened. Toshiba is offering outstanding European scientists the opportunity to join one of its high-technology research teams in Japan for up to two years. Research areas 2006 are including "Semantic-based service coordination in a ubiquitous computing environment" to undertake research for practical use of semantic web technologies in ubiquitous computing. The ideal candidate should have experience in ontologies, AI and web services. The Programme is open to PhD level researchers of EU nationality currently working in a UK academic institution. Your application will also be accepted if you are an EU national who has recently worked according to the above but are temporarily working in an academic institution outside the UK. The Programme offers the successful Fellow a generous package including a fixed salary and travel to and from Japan.
