Hi, My overall interest is in applying semantic services (not necessarily with a HTTP grouding) to the ubiquitous computing domain. Multi-modal wireless terminals mean roaming users will encounter a wide array of services in different ubicomp environments. The need to dynamically adapt these services to the user's current tasks and context seems a good fit for semantic service selection and composition. I am also interested in how users and resource owners may manage or constrain semantic service adaptation to meet higher level goals, to this end I've involved in studying the application of policy-based management to semantic service composition. Finally I have an interest in the integration of software engineering and knowledge engineering techniques that will be needed to make semantic services a reality. I am a research fellow at Trinity College Dublin and involved in supervising a number of PhD student in this area.
