Re: Global Digital Dashboard Initiative slated to launch in 2017

Dear Paola and members of the SWISIG group,
An updated, more detailed version specifying concrete proposal summaries will be forthcoming in a few weeks. Some of these will be open for commentary and collaboration.
I will try to summarize opportunities within Horizon2020 or UN funded big data research for these as well.
As we speak the UN World Data Forum is about to kick off which will deal with (big) data utilization for all sustainable development efforts see <http://undataforum.org/>.
It is important to note that during this forum new technologies will be discussed.
I have attached the program for the forum, so you can see for yourselves.
Bear in mind that this the the biggest platform for open data ever being developed. Open data, inter-operability and dashboards are mentioned.
In these new emerging global field of activities there will be a place for semantic technologies, and I will try to identtify the areas which for our group are relevant.

We have set up our research efforts in such a way that all projects will lead to creating the building blocks for this dashboard.
It should be obvious that the dashboard generic form will be applicable in many other fields, in particular we intend it for use in the Internet of Devices.
Over the holidays when I partake of more than the average per diem intake of wine I expect to finally be able to put the finishing touches on summaries for project proposals.
Most importantly we have started to find non-profit organizations willing to participate and collaborate.
