> I object to removing the requirement Hi Ben, I wanted to clarify that the requirement in Section 7.5 "Follow activity" is not being removed; it is already present in 7.7 "Reject activity". The text is duplicated partially in 7.5 but also incorrect due to stating that "In the case of receiving an Accept referencing this Follow as the object, the server *SHOULD* add the actor to the object actor's Followers Collection <https://www.w3.org/TR/activitypub/#followers>." This is backwards; receiving an Accept Follow should result in you(r server) modifying your followING collection. More to the point, though, this text is once again present/duplicated in 7.6 "Accept activity". So the result is that both sentences should be removed (the first as erroneous, and both as duplicated while better belonging elsewhere). This leaves nothing in the paragraph. I understand that the errata text is not descriptive of the actual error, and I agree that an error description would contextualize the correction. Hopefully we can resubmit a CfC using the above as an error description. I'll also comment this on the GitHub issue so that it doesn't get lost in the process!
