On chair selection:

We picked up a few lessons from the Solid CG. Originally, Sarven wanted
elections in all cases—even if there was only one candidate! Yes, really.
Over time, we landed on a more pragmatic approach: elections only if there
are four or more candidates.

Candidates should mention the primary ecosystem they work in (e.g.,
Indieweb, ActivityPub, other) and commit to a two-year term on a
best-effort basis. The group should retain the right to adjust chair
selection if balance is lacking, though from the recent call, it seemed
like we have a good mix of active participants for now.
