Hello all, Due to a lack of long-term funding, the Algorithmic Archive project at Bodleian Libraries is being wound down from here to the end of the year. Myself and Beatrice have written four reports on preserving social media which should be deposited with the Oxford Research Archive at some point in future. In the meantime Beatrice has written up three blog posts outlining use cases for an archive: https://blogs.bodleian.ox.ac.uk/archivesandmanuscripts/2025/10/07/algorithmic-archive-project-use-cases-1-3/ https://blogs.bodleian.ox.ac.uk/archivesandmanuscripts/2025/10/13/algorithmic-archive-project-use-cases-2-3/ https://blogs.bodleian.ox.ac.uk/archivesandmanuscripts/2025/10/21/algorithmic-archive-project-use-cases-3-3/ Tomorrow is my last working day, so I'll be withdrawing from this group as I no longer represent Oxford University as my employer. That said, you can still find me at @extua@mamot.fr and Beatrice is on bluesky at https://bsky.app/profile/beatricecannelli.bsky.social and, we're both looking for jobs in the digital preservation/web archiving/social media space, so please pass on any opportunities :) I'll be at Fosdem again in 2026 so hope to see some of you at the Social Web Dev Room. All the best, Pierre Marshall Beatrice Cannelli Bodleian Libraries, University of Oxford
