Hi all, I know it's been a while since there's been an update from the ActivityPub Trust & Safety Taskforce, so I wanted to add a quick email to highlight some changes: 1. Meetings are now the first Wednesday of every month, at 10am EST (New York), 7am PST (Seattle), and 4pm (Berlin) Calendar link changed: https://www.w3.org/events/meetings/29a5bd4f-bb6e-4830-bbf7-7ba290e89afa/ Please update your calendars, and apologies for the mess we had changing the schedule. 2. The taskforce has applied for funding with NLNet, which will enable us to pay people to work on specifications and documents, as well as pay someone to scribe meetings. Some funding will also be allocated for the management of the meetings and taskforce. The goal of the grant is to make our work more sustainable. A document with the details of the grant application will be published soon. (the PDF I have includes my personal information, so I can't just directly upload that somewhere). 3. On content warnings: We will not be introducing a new property for content warnings, and will not be writing a FEP, as it would not be in any way different from existing known behavior. More details & rationale: https://github.com/swicg/activitypub-trust-and-safety/issues/1#issuecomment-3607876566 4. Work on writing the Content Labels FEP has started, as I finally have some time & funding to work on it. You can read the full taskforce meeting minutes here: https://github.com/swicg/activitypub-trust-and-safety/blob/main/meetings/2025-12-03-taskforce-meeting.md If you're interested in Trust and Safety for ActivityPub and the Fediverse, I encourage you to participate. We only develop standards by working together. Yours, Emelia Smith ActivityPub Trust & Safety Taskforce co-lead.
