FediForum next week and SWICG

A year ago, we had a joint session of SWICG and FediForum, when we ran FediForum for the first time. I recall we had record attendance for a SWICG meeting, and arguably it helped re-start regular SWICG meetings and the renewed technical work here in the past year.

Next week is the 3rd FediForum (19th-20th — details on https://fediforum.org <https://fediforum.org/>)

We could do something similar if we wanted. Perhaps focused on:

1) brief intro to SWICG for those new to it, current work / roadmap
2) open discussion: what do *you* want / need from a fediverse / social web standardization effort beyond what’s done already?

This could help in making this group more widely known, potentially attract new contributors, dispel misconceptions, solicit feedback on how we are doing here in the perception of outsiders etc.

Just a thought, but I thought I bring it up. Thoughts?
