Re: Introductions (was Re: First 2023 SWICG meeting call on Fri May 19)

Hi all,

Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend as I have a non-postponable
PhD-related activity scheduled. But thought it would be nice to share an
introduction to stay connected.

I'm Diogo, nowadays a PhD student in the somewhat unrelated area (I
think) of Interactive Augmented Spatial Reality.

I started contributing to GNU social in 2018 with an ActivityPub plugin
under Google Summer of Code with Mikael Nordfeldth as the primary
advisor. I then kept contributing by mentoring other students and
starting the development of version 3. You can learn more about it at
https://www.gnusocial.rocks/v3/ .

On 2022-03-31, I contributed to FEP-2100: Unbound Group and Organization
(https://codeberg.org/fediverse/fep/src/branch/main/feps/fep-2100.md)
with some concepts that may contribute to implementing some robust and
more independent Groups and collaboration functionalities.

Sadly, since September 2022, I've been further away from Indie and
Social Web (as well as the other developers who worked with me on GS).
Hopefully, we will regain time with the holidays approaching.

Happy to get to know all of you a little better,
Kind regards,
--
