infogathering: portal

Hi Lee, Paul, Benjamin

Lee, I see your arguments about a usable website about Semantic Web and
related projects, and I fully agree. The challenge is, that we have to
agree on one portal that some of us work on. We will probably have
multiple portals, but we can at least define what we want to have on one
portal.

My current vision of the portal is written here:
http://esw.w3.org/topic/SweoIG/TaskForces/InfoGathering/PortalPlans

I made a crappy mockup what content on the final site could be shown:

Paul, you have offered to invest some resources into the topic.
Perhaps you could improve based on this crappy input,
could you set one of your people to make a HTML page that looks like the
portal we want? Once we got this, its much easier to discuss. Only
requirement: It has to look as simple as del.icio.us and as beautiful as
technorati :-)

Benjamin, you host rdfer.com yourself, what is your standing regarding
these plans?

I think once we exactly know WHAT WE WANT to have on the portal, then we
can sort out who does it at which cost. So please edit the PortalPlans
wiki page until it reflects your requirements to a portal.

best
Leo
