Hi Everyone, Sorry for missing Wednesdays conference call. I managed to add 5 to 11 and got 18... It was a lonely conference ;) Anyway, I'm David Rooks, Standards Compliance and Test Manager for Segala. Paul's already done the company intro so I won't rehash what he's already said. I'm Australian and a Computer Science graduate from the Queensland University of Technology. I started my career as a developer (python, java, c++) before moving into testing and have only recently started getting back into programming. I moved to London about 3 and a half years ago and started working with Segala soon after. I have been an active participant on the ERT WG [1] for about 18 months, was an early contributor to the MWBP [2], recently completed work on the WCL XG [3] which we hope will become a WG [4]. I am also a test manager at O2, the UK's leading mobile phone service provider. When I'm not working I enjoy travelling, playing sport and experiencing the best of London (pubs, restaurants, theatres, concerts). I look forward to meeting everyone in person in a couple of weeks time.
